Neath Port Talbot Hospital

Ares Pro Development was engaged to perform crucial passive fire stopping installations and remedial work at Neath Port Talbot Hospital. Our primary goal was to significantly enhance patient safety by bringing the hospital's fire protection systems up to current standards.

Modernizing fire safety in an existing hospital presented unique challenges. As a live, operational environment with patients on-site, our team faced specific complexities:

Royal Blackburn Teaching Hospital

Ares Pro Development undertook a similar, yet distinct, passive fire protection project at Royal Blackburn Teaching Hospital. Our core mission remained consistent: to significantly enhance patient safety by upgrading the hospital's fire compartmentation.

This project began with a comprehensive compartmentation survey to accurately identify all necessary works. Beyond typical fire stopping, the scope included the erection of new fire-rated plasterboard walls and the installation of various fire barriers to create robust fire-resistant compartments.

As with Neath Port Talbot, working within a live, operational hospital presented its own set of challenges. We meticulously applied enhanced safety protocols, leveraged our specialist expertise in healthcare environments, and adhered to precise planning and execution to ensure minimal disruption to hospital operations and the highest standards of fire safety.

Morrisons at Kirkby Shopping Centre

Ares Pro Development also contributed to the Kirkby Shopping Centre project, focusing on essential passive fire protection measures. While a new build typically presents fewer complexities than a live hospital, this site had its own unique demands.

Our work involved extensive high-level installations, including the construction of fire-rated plasterboard and Glasroc casing systems. We meticulously installed these systems and performed firestopping of all service penetrations in strict accordance with project specifications and fire safety regulations. This ensured robust compartmentation throughout the new shopping centre.
